A rare Silly Sunday effort from me. Only those of you familiar with the amusement arcades of the 1950s and before will get the title.
This will clarify things for the others!
I came across this scene while walking in the
Rue du Petit-Champlain in Quebec City. It was a classic 'street photography' moment: you see the opportunity and seize it quickly because you know you won't get a second chance. And, sure enough, the gentleman in the image went on about his business mere moments later. I first saw the pig, then saw the man walking over to peer in the window which is when I got my shot. Then, curiosity satisfied (or not), he got up and walked on. I didn't bother to look though the window myself, lest I become the target for another would-be
paparazzo!
Many thanks indeed to Merlin, Pamela, Ted, Steven and Keith for their very kind UAs for "Monarch", and to everyone else who looked in.
