Sorry to put a damper on this pic. It would be a cracking pic if it was sharp! The subject, colour and DoF are perfect but it just is not sharp enough?? The subject is also too central. Go back and do it again!!

Regards,

David.

Thanks everyone. Fair point David, I think the slight lack of 100% sharpness is down to having the 2X extender on the lens. If it have been within 70-200mm range it probably would have been sharper. As for being to central, well in a field with just a rabbit, grass and buttercups there wasn't really much else to fill the frame with. In my opinion the 3rds rule doesn't always stand up.

More boring praise here too...lovely shot - the depth of field really works well. Nice to see some really wild shots.

Great shot - nice DOF. Good pose and catchlight.

I have to disagree with your comments about the 1/3rd rule on this shot. You need to have the rabbit slightly off centre. I'd shave the left hand side, and consider making it a square. Ideally I'd lose that bright tall flower at ear height...it's distracting.

Can't really tell on the sharpness - it's too small and low-res but you should have no major issues with the 2x on the 70-200mm so far as sharpness goes.

More likely to be movement of either the camera/lens or the animal.
