When gaseous particles collide the result can be the beautiful Northern Lights. They have been on my bucket list for a long time and I was fortunate enough to see them last March in Abisko, Sweden. The day had been very overcast but the forecast for the evening was good. Sure enough the clouds cleared away and we were treated to a fabulous display for over 2 hours. This shot was taken at the peak of activity. Exposure time was about 3sec.
(We were on a photography evening and I was using a camera provided by the company running the session)
