When the lights go on again

By Mavis
Well the lights are going on again all over the World, for Christmas. To help you to part with your hard earned Pennies . I thought this Alley way would be more colourful but after we had been to Asda it was really too dark at 5pm ! What is more one of the lamps isn't working . Must ring up about it tomorrow . This was taken on my baby Nikon . Next time I go out armed with tripod and Canon at 4pm.

This feels very inviting as the lights cast a very warm glow onto the street.
4 weeks from tonight we will all be busy!

Lovely composition, with the arches pulling against the strings of lights. I think this might work in mono.

Thanks for adding the b&w, I like the atmosphere of the colour version, the warmth of the lights, but I think that mono emphasises the composition. Plus I like the grainy effect in black & white. The two complement each other nicely. Sorry I can't click again!
