When the Rains Came

By DalesLass
We spent Christmas week up in Keswick. The rivers and lakes are very high and some homes and business have suffered with flooding but on the whole the Lake District is very much open. We were very glad we stuck to our plans to go as the the shops, pubs etc very much rely on tourism for their income.

Many thanks for looking,

Jude

That does look like a lot of rain...very nice assembly of images which I imagine must have been taken in less than ideal conditions. Well done! Smile Howard

This high water in North England and part of Scotland was on our CBC news. These B&W images are all very good. Surprising as high water is not easy to make interesting. No swamped homes or cars. That's good. TG

Many thanks to all for comments and votes and a special thanks to those who have award the image their much appreciated UAs Grin

The Lakes were still very beautiful and the people there very much need our support in order to keep their businesses going with tourism being the mainstay of the areas economy.
