Ummmmm, it's a lamp.
Not much to critique really....the white of the bulb is a little blown, but better to expose the rest of the image correctly in this case. Maybe you need the lamp exactly in the middle, or more offset, but as it is, it looks like it was supposed to be in the middle but you failed. A crop would sort that out, either way you wanted.
I'm not really a big fan of this kind of thing outside the "can you tell what it is?" Reasonably executed though.

I was thinking of sink drainage Grin Grin

Thank God i waited for one comment Grin
I agree with Nick that there is not much to critique except that the white bulb is too enhanced ( always a task, capturing white perfectly ) Smile

Else a good image, and different too Smile

A lamp. For what would you use the image?

You're standing under a low-energy light bulb, that's pretty obvious. Not exactly the easiest subject exposure-wise - a minus exposure compensation might have helped! There's scope for an interesting abstract, possibly in black & white as the hints of colour are really irrelevant. It does need a bit more space at the top and less at the sides though.

Might try a Modification...

Lamp. I'd go for square frame. Genius, eh? (imagine a lightbulb image between the brackets)

From my point of view, it woudl be good to know if you want comments on any particular aspect of the picture.

Also, perhaps, what you were trying to achieve, and whether you think you succeeded?

At present, I am not sure whether you like the results you're getting, or think you need to improve a lot. All help is welcome!
