Where's the food hidden then?

By moiral
Afternoon all. Another outing with the sigma Grin. Just down to the Basin this time. Winter definitely coming as it was freezing and really windy. This little oystercatcher was a fair distance from me. Being the lazy mare that I am, this shot was handheld, as did not wish to put up the tripod in the mud, so I am crouched down in the mud, trying to keep the camera and lens steady. Anyway giving myself plenty of practise, but often not a pretty sight. GrinTongue Will catch up later tonight.

You did well to get such a good shot as it's hard to keep your camera steady in a crouching posture. I have enough trouble keeping myself from falling on my butt from this position.

Keeping the iso down to 200 kept the noise down and hand held at 1/500th at 500mm was good work. Paul

They still manage to make a noise when feeding, boisterous seashore birds always a welcome companion by the sea.
