Excellent capture, the exposure is just right to get all the detail in the wings and the composition is great. I'm just wondering if the green stem behind his face could be cloned or reduced using the spot healing brush tool (it's something I've discovered recently and find quite helpful!)?

This is beautiful. Charlotte makes a good point, but the stem also works as a compositional element, and looks very natural. I could go either way. Fine shot.

Superb detail. If it were mine (I wish), I would clone out the OOF grass above its head

Your ID is right, it is green-veined white. The green markings around the veins on the hind wing (clearly visible here) are what gives it its name.

Thanks everyone.

Charlotte....Thanks for the advice,I tried a limited bit of lightening and decided it did not work, probably ME though.

John....I also tried cloning it out and got in a mess.

David...Thanks for the positive I.D. and tip on how to hopefully sort them out in the future.

Cheers, Keith

Hi Keith
Have done a mod. One thing that occured to me is what sort of brush are you using. Is it one with sharp edges or one with blurred edges. I used the latter for the mod with a brush size of about 70 dropping to about 30 near the head.

If you aren't sure about this then please PM me

Cheers Ina.
As I said it was a one shot shot. The reason was it would fly along the edge ...wait for me ,then fly again.
I commented on someones shot that ALL the whites seem to like flying more than having their pics taking...strange!!!

Thanks Keith
