Whitby Fret

By Wooly
Hi everyone, it’s nearly weekend. Smile

It’s another pano… I know… but I can’t stop myself!

This was the view looking over Whitby Harbour last July as the sea fret was rolling in like a tsunami.

Just 3 shots used for this one. I love the detail in these big productions, as I scroll round there’s hundreds of people in the scene all going about their business.

Large version must be better Wink

Thanks for looking.

Update
Sorry. Deleted version 2, it didn't look right on my PC here at work.

Alan.

Its not often that a sea haar makes good conditions for photography but the cloudy sky and sea fog work very well together here with the weak sunlight bathing the foreground and harbour area.

Needs to be viewed large to be appreciated.

Really like the sailing boat and the fret rolling in.

Great job done Alan x x

Very nice. Like all the detail and the 'mist' on the water adds great effect. Do you use a nodal ninja pano piece or similar for these shots? John

Hi John, just a standard manfrotto head, which is fine most of the time, but when you have objects close, you do get some work to do. It's stitched us PTGui.

Thanks Alan

A great pano Alan, the sea mist adds much to this image, the colours are very good and the yacht draws the eye before it explores the rest of the image
