Whitby Minstrel ...

By Humblebee
If you take a left hander at the foot of the steps up to Whitby Abbey, you will find this statue of an old/ancient mariner? with what appears to be a type of lyre or very small harp ... I have been unable to find any information on it and hope that some one will be able to enlighten me Grin

I have my new program so thought I would try this action out and am quite pleased with the result

Many thanks to you all for your comments and votes on 'Cheerful Petunia' all very much appreciated and was good to see Nathan is still around Wink

Well presented, Carol. I remember this sculpture and I'm sure there was a plaque somewhere nearby but unfortunately I leave the reading thereof to my wife!Tongue I'm sure she will have taken a photo so may well have the info so I will ask and update later if she has it.
