White & Welsh

By MarkBroughton
Hi

Still trawling through a load of old images, and practising new techniques, and sharpening up old ones I haven't used for ages. I remembered that all the images originally processed from that night, were all done using HDR, so I decided to process one this morning from a single RAW file.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great weekend!
Mark

P.S. A slightly tuned down version has been added as a variant Smile

Looks good Mark, but perhaps a tad overcooked in terms of the yellows?

I like the warm tones. Great comp too with those sand patterns in the foreground

Pushed the colour to the limit but without over-cooking imo. Gets my UA with no qualms. Brilliant work.

The side lit sand ripples are magnificent and lead the eye in to the pool and it's reflections very effectively. The sky is full of drama and the side lighting on the lighthouse is really important to add modelling and depth to the distance. The overall effect is beautiful and eye catching and not overdone. I think it was the right decision not to give it an overcooked HDR look.
