White Out Oldbury on Severn Sth Glos

By VincentChristopher
Lovely day today so we took a walk from Oldbury on Severn ( nice pub but Closed due to Covid restriction ) we walked along towards The River Severn and these trees presented themselves still in their winter "coats" - bare & brrrrr.

Came back home and played with sliders....converted to B&W overexposing , sliding the whites & black to try and give this "white " image - new for me....but possibly a lot more to learn...Ive attached the original colour version for comparison from what it was to what Ive developed
Hope you like

The high contrast works very well here, Bleak and cold.

Love the mono, I maybe would have just cropped a bit off the left.

The mono captures winter fatigue so well. Even nature is tired of winter and wants to move on to spring.
I noticed you had some definition in the sky. You might try some extra contrast on that sky to bring this out a bit.
