This image, the last in the present series, has been uploaded previously but within the context of my “London 1970” theme I am putting it up again. It is probably my absolute favourite when I think of the city at that time. It presents the assumption that we are imagining two utterly different lives and lifestyles, with an elderly lady on crutches studying a fine example of a young trooper of the Household Cavalry mounted on his equally fine mount. The juxtaposition of the characters is really what this picture is all about.

Thanks again for all your support and interest shown in my London images from 1970. Tomorrow I'll be taking you across The Pond for a selection of images from the same year, taken variously in New York, Washington DC and Mexico City. I hope they stir your senses as much as they have done, and continue to do, mine.

I love the way the horse is looking at her. With sympathy for her condition. A wonderful image that grabs me.
Such a beautiful candid Bob.
