Widgeon and Mallard

By tonyguitar
The American widgeon is a little smaller than our prolific mallard. BOTH seem to like life in our tidal water zone. Courtenay / Comox bay.

In some views the mallard drake shows a blue / green head while the widgeon usually shows light to dark green only.

Crisp image with rich saturation. Love those shadows in the water ripples and the water droplets on the duck's head.

Thank you. It's a bit dark in places but interesting anyway. Weather has been dull lately. TG<

Outstanding clarity and crispness of details and colors. Especially like the way you composed this with the ripples in the water providing framing for the three ducks. Professionally done!
