Wild Mountain Thyme

By jeanie
..ok its heather.. but that's not in the song title. it is in the song though... Wink

Got home from a glorious week with the gang last night - feels very quiet and empty here this morning Sad

last Sunday we went for a drive up to Sligachan and had some wonderful weather.. in fact it was so good even the midges came out to play - luckily I was saved from being bitten as they preferred Chris who was nearby, disturbing them in the heather hahah! Smile

Like how all the bright colours in the foreground lead into darker colours in the background .......................Rob

Thank you Rob.. you knocked the nail on the head - that's just what I liked too Grin
I wonder how the clouds are gathering above the Sgurr today, storm brewing up here, the tail end of the hurricane across the Atlantic Jeanie. Elgol will be a monster I'd imagine.
Lovely aur=tumnal colour in the heather adds a fine lead to the mountains of Skye.

I reckon they may be a tad broody today Dougie... we were watching the forecast and the locals are bracing themselves for the winds etc... believe tomorrow is meant to be the worst. Angie and Dougie are still up there but I don't think they will care much now they are having the rest of their honeymoon without us lot around Wink

Seems so long ago already, that heather provides a lovely splash of colour in the fg.Grin

Sunday wasn't bad for pictures.
I seem to remember nearly seeing a sunrise.
But I did get a sunset at the Skye Bridge (I think Chris and the other boys missed it though LOL)

Lovely image and great link too Smile you've composed this really well, Jeanie. The scene brings back great memories. I was there on a photo meet a few years ago when it poured down every day with only a few moments respite. However, the place still stole my heart and I can't wait to get back.

he was as not botherd about that sunset as you were about wednesday's rainbows Wink Tongue

A nice one to start the holiday off with jeanie, the heather really made the shots this week I think. Glad you took the midge magnets with you everyday as me and Dougie never saw any all week (apart from yesturday evening at the castle, obviously because midge magnets had left the country by then Sad )

Thanks again for an awsome adventure x x x x
