Good day to you all at ePz

Firstly thank you all for taking the time out to view, comment and vote on my upload yesterday, a further mention going to Lifesnapper (John) for his User Award.

Todays image shows William an Eagle Owl which was found half dead shot by so indiscriminate arse hole. He can't fly but he loves to follow Stewart his keeper around everywhere hopping around like a a novice fire walker.

I hope that you all have a great day, for me who knows. The weather is horrendous at the moment, we even had some snow and sleet yesterday afternoon.

Regards as always NathanGrinGrinGrin

Exellent Nathan, what a lovely creature. Why would anyone want to shoot him?
Makes you wonder what hope there is for the future with morons like that about.

He's gorgeous Nathan, hopefully the shooter get's what he deserves, I can remember my Nan seeing the cowman on the farm where she lived hit one of the cows with a stick just because it was walking too slow, she took the stick from him & promptly whacked the Cowman with his stick & said now you know how it feels but with a few blue words added, she was a great feisty woman was my Nan SmileSmileSmile

Poor William, I hate stories like his. What do people hope to gain by shooting owls - and if that's not bad enough to leave the poor bird suffering a slow, painful death!!! I'm so glad he is being well cared for. Excellent picture of him. We have rain & strong wind here today, with hail & snow at teatime yesterday.

Fantastic image Nathan - super feather detail on this one. Such a sad story that a human being stole William's freedom. At least he has Stewart and no doubt countless others who now love and care for him.

The rest of my thoughts on those who carry out such acts of cruelty of any kind are best left to myself - as they would be unrepeatable here!

I will never understand the stupidity of some.I feel the same about the elephants that are being shot in recent weeks.

We have a sanctuary near us in Hagley that saves owls and other birds of prey.

Thank the Lord that there are sanctuaries for the William's of this world, who 'mop-up' after the mindless morons who are given gun licences....
I hope you were not out with your camera yesterday, Nathan, trying to catch The image of waves crashing about?! Wink

Fantastic detail and clarity, Nathan, however, the processing appears (on my monitor) to have produced a bit of a halo effect around the feathers of the bird, especially the left hand side, is that the case ?, if not please accept my apologies and I will buy a new monitor.Blush
