Willing to Work

By NoelBennettPhotography
Yes, another one man and his dog, but with a different story behind the shot.
This guy had obviously fallen on hard times, now resorting to beg on the streets of Totnes in Devon.
It's the sentiment of being willing to work, as displayed on the card, which I admire.

Conversation usually helps to break down the barriers, opening avenues for more natural opportunities.
I do hope his lot has dramatically improved since the taking of this photograph.

This might be a good shot but I disagree vehemently with beggars using animals in this way to try to grab the hearts of passers by. I'd report them to the rspca. If they can't look after themselves there's no way they can properly look after an animal. Oxford Street in London is rife with various species out in all weathers. It's criminal.

If he was really willing to work, he'd be working. Good shot.
