A cracking shot and a lovely perch Chris….

However the white marking on the beak makes me think it is a Marsh Tit…. I could be wrongWink

This is more than just a "bird on a stick" (as certain people like to call bird shots) and deserves to be included in my choices. It's beautifully captured, clean and clear, the perch is interesting and the background a beautiful and subtle colour. The head has a nice little rimlight going on and the little eye shines.

I told myself I'd never get into a 'discussion' on here about the identification of Marsh & Willow Tits having upset a few by questioning the I.D. So here I go again - it's a Marsh Tit for the reason mentioned above. And a great photo if I may say so.

Lovely clean image of whatever it is Chris.

According to British Garden Birds (http://www.garden-birds.co.uk/) the easiest way to tell the difference between the two, is the voice.
The Marsh Tit call sounds like a ringing sneeze, "pitchoo", which sometimes precedes a trilling "chickabeebeebeebee".
Their song is a simple, repetitive bubbling motif, "schip-schip-schip".
The Willow Tit has a buzzing nasal call, like "tchay-tchay-tchay", and its song is "pee-oo pee-oo".
