I found your subject matter quite thought provoking, particularly at this time of year. I would like to have heard a little more about what you were trying to achieve when taking this picture, but having said that, I always like it when an image gets me thinking.
I have done a little modification...nothing major in any way. I liked the placing of the objects within the picture and the borders that you have added to frame it; I just felt the colours were a little dull and needed brightening to place more impact on what was happening within the image. I use Corel Paint Shop Pro and so have used that to reduce the noise, to sharpen the focus and to brighten the colours with a blue filter to lift the sky. I think this helps to make the helicopter and the winch with the casualty on stand out a little more against the sky and gives more contrast which then allows for more impact.
Well done on a thought provoking image.

Like the mod like the original too. Good strong powerful image really like the 'spiteful' crop of the chopper and I like also the way the images link together from top to bottom.
There is a good sense of tension here created through the diagonal composition and also the blurring of the roto blades.
The colours are very mutted and a like Donna's mod but I think your original because it is so strong works just perfectly.
Cheers
Robert
