Winter

By saltireblue
A snow-filled field, a fence, and a forest (well, that's a bit of poetic license, more a copse than a forest).
Norway under about a metre and a half of snow.
Given a bit of a graphic treatment in Nik.

A Marmite image, I feel, but the important thing is that I like it.

While the UK is drowning in crocuses and small woolly bundles of spring lambs, we are still enjoying the snow. In the 30 years I have lived here, I cannot remember having so much as this winter. Have had to climb onto the roof twice to relieve the structure of the weight of the snow - approx. 70-80cm each time. Great fun...not!

Thanks for all the comments, awards and interest on my previous image - as always, much appreciated.

Many thanks for bothering

Malc

Heroic little figures, roped together, struggling up the mountain. We can make it lads, just one more push...
Don't worry, not all the UK is wallowing in fluffy lambs, I haven't seen a single one yet.

Stark and uncompromising. Real winter.
Do you reckon you're making up for the soft winters you've had in recent years? Relatively speaking, our winter has been pretty mild. But it's sure as hell been boring!

Excellent, Malc.

We've not seen snow in my area since 2013. There's all sorts of conflicting weather forecasts at the moment and I'll believe it when I see it.Smile

A pleasure to give this one my award.Smile

Very slightly early for lambs... a week or two yet on most farms around here I reckon... but snow-wise we're about to get plastered with The **** From Siberia.

This photo is Ace.

So, a favour returned....

Yes, we have done the snow off the roof bit! and could do it again --maybe-- this winter-- mostly it has been rain this time around-- sometimes we have a lake instead of a hay field!

no artistic fences tho-- like yours which I like a lot!
