Winter creeps, nature sleeps

By helenlinda
Well Winter has well and truly arrived. One day we are celebrating the glorious colours of Autumn and the next day we are in the clutches of the ice and snow. The creeper has well and truly got us pinned to the wall.

It would have been my father's birthday today. I'm up into the wee hours making something with him in mind. Thoughts of winter sleep, rest, and new life that will return in the Spring come to mind.

Miss you Dad and love you lots.

So this is a break from my boxes, and a more thoughtful image for Sunday.

Thanks for Looking

Thanks Lesley, Dave, Linda, Pauline and Steve
I actually uploaded them in the reverse order Pauline, and then took them down and re-loaded with the warmer version first. Cold is right for winter, but precious memories bring some warmth with them Smile

Hi Helen - A fitting tribute if ever there was one. Life for us all is so transitory but we only really honour this when we lose someone special. But it is so good to have memories, I don't think any of us would ever trade them.

Image - well its evocative of that fleeting pulse of life - for me I really like first version - the colours do it for me.

The concept of this image i really like...
But the perspective of the brickwork b/g is in conflict with the butterfly f/g

Tim many thanks for pointing that out - I really should have tilted the butterfly first - its amazing how something as obvious as that can get overlooked.
