Winter Gardens, Sheffield

By CaroleA
An inside view of the easily recognisable Winter Gardens (the shiny balls of previous postings are outside this building). The arched roof is particularly satisfying to look up at. I took a similar shot to this some time ago but lost it: I retook it to make into a Greetings from Sheffield card and thought I'd share it with you all.

Hey there you, how are you doing, I haven't been to Sheffield for about 10 years now and unlike Hebden Bridge, I believe it's changed quite a bit. I like the perspective of this and some good colour there too, great shot.

Great pic as a Sheffielder myself, it's becoming an iconic place to photograph in the "New" City Centre. Haven't been in for a few months, but is a good place to wander through or sit and think (particulary on a cold day). Some really good shots in your portfolio. Tony.

You've got a great eye, Carole. LOVE the lines and shadows in this. The composition and framing are spot-on too. I could see something like this up on my wall. Glad you and photography met - good match Wink

The repeating lines in the "ceiling" make this an excellent image--- I think a great improvement over your previous one, If I am remembering correctly-- Well done, Jennnnnnnn

I like your perspective Carole! Been in Minter Gardens but can't say I bothered to look up which is a shame. Well taken!
