Winter Journey

Thanks for your comment on the twilight shot. Tonight's shot was taken about 5 minutes after the red twilight image after most of the light had gone but there was still a lot of detail in the sky. It shows movement blur and I feel it creates a sense of journeying through time. I panned slowly across the scene to get this effect ( tried panning vertically before in the forest so thought I'd do similar but horizontally, if you see what I mean)It does appeal to me but I won't be offended if it gets a lot of adverse criticism. All helpful crits are always welcome.As I've said before it all adds to that great big learning curve.

What a great image ! the overall effect....looks to me like a gale-force wind ?.....I've done a bit of a mod. to try & induce a touch of extra 'movement' to that gale, & added a thin black border....regards...Nn.

That shot really grabbed me when I first viewed it, it's a great use of different technique and the results that can come from experimenting.
A shot I would have been proud to have taken.

I love this image, great mood and really says winter journey. I am bit confused on how you achieved this, I've done similar myself but I can't understand how the tree and fenceline havn't got the same panning effect as the rest of the shot.Or am I being dumb?

This is extremely effective, how clever of you. The panning suits the scene beautifully.
