Winter's embrace - a cautionary tale from the park

By hrsimages
Freezing temperatures and gloom
persisted all day.
In the park there were few people about.
I stopped, drawn to this one tree.
Its contorted frosted branches seemed
like some creature reaching out to me in icy embrace.
I quickly set the ISO, pressed the shutter release, shuddered
and hurried past.
Now quite keen to catch up with my wife
(who had sensibly walked on ahead with the dog).

Breathed upon by the Ice Queen. What a spectacular find, and very nicely captured and processed.

Superb tones and perfectly processed to bring out the effect in those branches.
