Great action shot. The blurred houses really add to the movement.
Very good.

Something different for you, Eric, I do get the feeling slightly that the houses are moving and not the surfer though!

The blue of the board and the red of the sail contrast superbly with the drab buildings and sky. Nice action shot.

Well done Eric - good action - light isn't helping you is it? - or is he just lit?

Thanks Doug, good to have your comment. Most of the sails have florescent colours (so they can be spotted in the water, I suppose) and they make for a striking image, particularly on a dull winter day. Smile

Cheers Dave. The light was pretty low and gloomy, although the sun was breaking the clouds on the horizon, so light levels were variable the whole time I was shooting. Of course, I needed high shutter speed to freeze him, so aperture had to be opened up, but this gave a useful dof which prevented the buildings being too prominent, so I didn't object to that. I was panning at the moment of shutter release.
