If you want to see wires in a scene just pop into Google Maps and visit street view in Tokyo, esp. the smaller back streets: I am always amazed at the complexity and amount of such festooned above their heads.
And an interesting commentary from you up top.
The donkey transport does contrast with the vehicle behind as Garrath says.

Ugly or not these wire do belong in this image. It is a great picture with many aspects of Kenyan life
to drink in - I love the donkeys, the barrels for that touch of colour and the fashionable Kenyan lady, then the little boy
running in your line up of three !
Garreth's comment about the Merc is spot on for incongruity.

My award goes for those wonderful docile animals who have to work so hard for a living... The harness of the one on the right looks like it's about to drop off... Amazing street shot, very well captured and i still feel sorry for the donkeys. They were used up to the 80's in my village in Portugal so I feel a great love for the poor things... Very well spotted Simon...

I wondered how long it would be before you had to have a break from your series
I was thinking along the same lines (wires
, couldn't resist that) as Mick in that you could have combined this theme with lunch in some way.
Does the Merc not have air con, as the driver has his window partly open?

Simon, this is a great contribution to the "Wire We Here."
This shot is also a nice commentary on the juxtaposition of economic groups -- as evidenced by the various modes of transportation.
Thank you also for the extensive commentary you included here. I found it both entertaining and informative.

So fascinating reading about the wired AND wireless situation you have over there, Simon! Of course I like the sound of the fast broadband
Great shot you've got here with the wires juxtaposed with the modern tower. Not to mention the juxtaposition of the Mercedes staring at the asses of the two asses!
