Zagreb, Croatia, Yugoslavia, 1986,
Insecurity is visible in the faces of a young father and his daughter as they study the mound of Dinar bills and coins rotting in the fountain. With the currency devaluating daily, no one is bothering to retrieve them. At this point in their history, the federation established following the first world war was fragmenting. None of the leaders who succeeded Marshall Tito could get a handle on their economy.
