Taken in the glasshouse at Wisley Gardens in Woking, Surrey.
The glasshouse, a major new feature at Wisley, was completed in 2007 and covers three quarters of an acre and overlooks a new lake built at the same time.
It is divided into three main planting zones representing desert, tropical and temperate climates.
I don't know if that yellow thing on the orchid is an insect or part of the flower

.
Thanks go to Ivor (capto) for this information: "The 'yellow thing' is the pollen [pollinium], it's often hidden under the hood".
Many thanks for all the views, votes, and splendid comments for my Cormorant fishing boat abstract.
Pamela.
