I'm still playing with my new camera. This is the first time I've been able to adjust the strength of my flash.

Taffy decided the box the camera came in (9 x 6) was perfect to sleep in - at one point he even got his head right in too!

Version 1 is with flash at it's lowest setting and version 2 is with no flash. I had a third version, with the flash at it's highest setting, but that was deleted (very overexposed!).

I've done nothing to the images but a little sharpening after re-sizing.

It may be my imagination, but I think version 1 seems to have 'warmer' tones on Taffy's coat.

Oh, the black thing you can see is their 'Shoe lace spider' (just a long shoe lace folded up and knotted, with a length left to hold it by) - they love it! Smile

Once a cat makes its up mind it will fit in somewhere, it does - a charming shot of Taffy getting his own way.
V1 is warmer but V2 has more sharp detail, really cannot choose between themSmile

I prefer the colour in V1. I usually underexpose any on-camera flash by -1/3 which retains more detail.
I do like the spread of the flash on this camera. I was doing some stuff in the living room yesterday in the evening, and no vignetting at all. Smile

Cats love boxes - mine were the same. Even tissue boxes. Smile And spider too - endless fun. Smile

V1 has more natural light and more color as V2 has more flash and less ambient light, a super comparison...John

Thanks everyone! Smile

Actually John, it was the other way round - 1 = Flash, 2 = No flash. Smile

V1 for me Karen,a lovely little Cat ,and as with children ,what's the point in spending a lot on toys when they get so much pleasure out of an empty boxSmileSmileSmile
