ANOTHER PHOTO OF PAWLY, AGAIN SOME MIGHT SAY ITS YELLOWY BUT I DONT WANT TO REMOVE THAT BECAUSE IT REMOVES THE DETAIL IN THE EYES THEN. LOVE HIS EXPRESSION ON THIS ONE!

The eyes are quite startling - but there does seem to be a lot of noise in the image. A good try and he really is a gorgeous cat!

I'm afraid it definitely is yellow, Gina, at least on the assumption that the blind in the background is white, as they usually are. To avoid the yellow cast, you need to manually set the white balance on your camera — normally, it can work it out on its own but, when it sees your orange cat filling the frame, it can't make that look grey so it doens't know what to do. Taking the photo in stronger light would let you use a lower ISO and avoid the large amounts of noise visible. Flash isn't an option for cats as it reflects back green from their eyes but daylight works much better. I'm afraid there isn't actually much detail in the eye — it's mostly just noise. Sad

Thank you for the comments, and yes DRicherby, there is not a lot of detail in the cat photo but even Jestertheclown proved by the mod that it was hard to work with and so I think I didn't do too badly, I just liked the photo because of the cats expression.
