Wolf Moon 1-1-2018

By brian1208
10.45 last night I went into our hall and thought someone had just driven up our drive but when I looked out there was this blazing moon in the sky - I had forgotten it was a "Super Moon" and thought it was raining anyway Smile

I grabbed the G80 with panny 100-400 on to take a few shots and the moon was so bright I could read all the writing on the camera as a result of which I used ISO100, with f7.1 for 1/500th, shot hand-held using dual IS with 400mm fl , AFS single central point focus, aperture priority with about -4 stops exposure compensation, focusing on the edge if the moon

Thanks Karen, it was hard not to get a decent shot there was so much light, I've not seen such a bright moon for a very long time

Fantastic shot. I just saw the edge of the moon as it rose above the houses and thought it looked big. Then I forgot about it. Sad
