A shepherds delight - I'm so, so envious of your black and white processing skills, Alan. Instant award again.

The straw gives the impression of the sort of surreal costumes seen sometimes in high end fashion shots.
The sheep does not look impressed.

Where does the sheep end and the straw begin? Who knows? Who cares? Clever disguise if it was intelligent enough to hide its face...

IS the Dale not allowed within the realms of daily exercise, Alan?

Love the way you've focussed the light on the hay, the sheep is wondering what you are up to...

Not really, it's about 12 miles, minimum, and we live right next door to the Town Park and a 5 minute walk from woodland.

Drive there, if questioned, blame it on your sat-nav.Wink

1) Don't have a satnav.
2) I suspect the locals would be less than happy to see me under the circumstances, and I care about that
3) In the event, however unlikely, of an accident, I would be guilty of putting avoidable pressure on the Emergency Services
4) I seem to be cursed with this unfortunate and infuriating sense of 'social responsibility.' Sad

1) Use an OS map? I suppose you could claim that you were never in the Scouts, so never learned how to use one...
2) The two-legged locals, or the four-legged ones?
3) Only if you rang them in the first place...
4) We all have a cross or crosses we have to bear...

Love the way the sheep and the straw blend. Are you the wolf ?

Excellent mono work as always Alan.

I am fortunate that I can legally travel the length and breadth of the Highland council area but, like you, I choose not to as it just wouldn't be the right thing to do.

One puzzled sheep, meal interrupted, trying to work out whether you're a threat or not.
Excellent B&W work as always Alan.

Think everyone has said it all above but... The image is perfection and reminds of the B/W images I loved when I was a child. It has a 'Quality' feel - beautiful Alan.

Glad you're staying safe too.

I think he needs a haircut Alan. What a cleverly disguised sheep. A Silly Sunday and very beautiful image.

An intelligent-looking ovine, considering conversation. It has a searching gaze. But I can't quite ascertain whether the searching gaze is directed at the photographer or the straw. Straw usually wins . . .

Unless of course it thinks the photographer is a wolf, in which case scrub 'intelligent'.
