Fun image, Neil. You were hampered by the light falling on just the right side of the feather display, and also by the female being on the move, hence she is not as sharp as her suitor. I also feel that this could have been taken a few seconds later when the female had passed the male's body, then you could have excluded some of the less detailed left side of the display and the "passing by" idea would have been more of an obvious element of the purpose of your picture. A few seconds at the most because you still want the female to have some space in front of her. Inclusion of her tail and feet would have been a bonus, and perhaps a portrait format would have been the best for the image that I am envisaging, so that you still included the display. Not easy, but I hope you don't mind me putting across my thoughts.

We are part of the animal kingdom, so we act in similar manner. Very nice capture of their intimate moment, Neil. We have a town here where they roam around the neighborhood in great numbers, on rooftops and swimming pools, in addition to their mating calls, they are considered pests.
