Wood Type

By FotoDen
More interesting wood type at Tom Davies' stand Covent Garden, London. Memories of a bygone era when designers actually understood typography, how to use type and had professional typographers to guide them. I especially like the ampersand at the bottom right. How many typefaces does one have on the computer now and which typeface should one use? Ed Benguiat (Benguiat typeface) told our class: 'Have one serif typeface and one sans serif typeface that you absolutely love and can draw'. For me they're Garamond and Futura.
