Working on a Portrait

By nonur
The set shows Orhan Zafer, another Turkish painter, working on a portrait of the renown Hungarian poet József Attila (1905–1937) who ended his life by throwing himself under the wheels of a passing freight train in Balatonszárszó.
Thank you all for the clicks and kind comments on my previous upload, and many thanks to Moira,Sue, Richard and Walt for their much appreciated generous awards.

Love this, love V1 as well. I might go for a tighter crop of the main upload to concentrate on the portrait - maybe crop off up to the middle of the kerchief knot on the left, and everything beyond the hand on the right?

I like the lead, but also V3. I so wish I could paint like that, or just paint even. Smile

A talented artist - so hard to capture a true likeness in people.
Sad that the poet took his own life.

I like all them but there is something compelling about the lead (and version 3) and the way the portrait gazes at the viewer over the artists shoulder. Smile

The eyes in the painting are compelling in the cropped images but I do prefer the full story captured in V2 . Viv

All photos are excellent, Nezih! I can't choose one of them above the others. Also v.3 works very well.
