Works of Imagination

By Drighlynne
One thing I have never been able to do is draw, I'm hopeless, but I really do admire people who can and even more so I admire those who can draw things and then make their drawings come to life in buildings. Architects, craftsmen such as stonemasons, stained glass designers and painters. These two images , along with those posted yesterday show these skills.Once again, these were taken at Gloucester Cathedral, side chapels.

Thank you for the votes and comments on yesterday mages, and many thanks to Hobbit Dave for his UA.

I am like you, Lynne, I would love to be able to draw but can't. These are two more wonderful images showing the skills of the yesteryear craftsmen.

I've always loved stained glass and admired the work of the ancient craftsmen, but the tradition is still kept alive by a few today. So its good to see old and new Lynne.

See we're both on a church theme today, Lynne! Grin Wonderful colours in the stained glass windows in the lead image, but love that roof and artwork in the version, so has to be my fave Smile
