A second upload from yesterdays excursion to the Black Country Museum with dudler.
Using Johns Alpha 7R II and a Lensbaby Muse. It's a bit like trying to juggle cats while standing
on one leg on a tightrope Smile (good fun though).
Having had a play with a couple of these lenses I have even more respect for the images that
John produces with them. And for those of you who have also tamed them.
This one was almost in focus and one of the few that was "ok" enough to upload.
I converted it to B&W coz it fitted the subject better, and because it looked better SmileSmile
V1 is the original for comparison.
Have a great day folks.

A very good description of using a Lensbaby. But be warned, once you have looked through one, you never see the world in quite the same way again... Wink

Wonderful mono conversion and a great subject to photograph, you have done well with John's camera and lens baby. Such fun having a swap around.

The mono works extremely well, Dave. Like looking back in time through the eyes of a dream.

I find it's not so much the juggling but finding something in front of it that works well. Must persevere Smile
Nice one here, and I prefer the mono too.

The mono is really effective for hte BCM. And you nailed the chain (or did you chain the nail? So easy to forget...)

My father was a blacksmith. Looks like his workshop that I remember so well ...
Excellent image. I do like it in mono ... Isabel GrinGrin
I must admit I havenít dabbled with this type of lens but looking at the images I think. May well give it a go.

Carole - Lensbaby no longer make the Muse - the current near-equivalent is the Spark - and at under £100, it's a snip. Easiest to use with an electronic viewfinder, but with practice, a DSLR will do.
