Elephants sanctuary near Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. Orphan elephants - I've put them under wildlife as they roam free, although they are fed frequently by visitors.

thanks for the comments everyone..it was great to be able to get up close to such gentle creatures (although as soon as they ran out of food, it was a different story!!)

I think that this terrific-I love the angle of view which really portrays their relative size. I did notice that the whole image is slanting and am wondering whether or not this is deliberate.
I think it would be interesting to see the
image straightened with the trees perpendicular.
A cracking shot none the less!!!

you get to help feed them, but they are only docile while you are doing that. As soon as the food runs out you have to back away. Seriously heavy animals, even the babies Smile

Not really sure if it is worth mentioning after reading all of the comments above but the I think the angle is brilliant, it exadurates and draws attention to the sheer size of these animals. Well done!
