Award Shortlist

Would you dare the door?

By TanyaH
Sort of bored today, so thought I'd have a play and see what came of it. All elements (steps, door, trees and texture) taken by me. The thing in the sky is mine also, but it's a fractal not a photograph. Oh, the light rays are a brush Grin

No real exif details, I'm afraid, because it's a composite and I wouldn't know what to put down! However, all the photographed elements were taken with the Sony RX100 (III).

A magnificent, other worldly image, Tanyah ! They say that imagination is a sign of super intelligence, so let yours soar !! (ps. ......I have no more awards, and don`t know how to work the "shortlist", unfortunately, so you will have to be satisfied with my "Virtual Award" Regards Martin

Thank you all so much for the votes and brilliant comments - and the virtual awards, Martin and Dave (aka No. 1). I see the faults in this one very clearly, and I know that in the excitement of creating it, I forgot simple things like 'clean selections', 'matching light colour and direction' and stuff like that Smile

Still, I think this one came about subconsciously because of a conversation with a friend about losing the creative mojo, and how difficult it can be to get it going again. Upwards steps, scary door, unfriendly looking trees ... and maybe, if we're brave enough to just do it, to go up those steps and open that door, there's something bright and wonderful waiting at the other end of it all ...

At least, I think it was about that - only thing I can think of, anyhow!
