wrecked

By sputnki
Well, the intrepid but hapless Photographer made it to the deserted island, with only his camera, felt-tip marker and some rudimentary supplies to sustain him. Although he had to paddle hard against the current to get close to the island, he noticed once he got within a mile, the prevailing wind helped him reach the beach...

Details: Again with the layers. Took a shot of Indian Rock Beach in Florida (providing the sand, grass and palm trees). Two skies from home adds the somewhat threatening clouds and the ray of sun. Overlaid a gradient filter from PS to give the somewhat wonky colour to the overall shot. Oh, and the gulls were parachuted in. They ARE from the same beach as the beach/grass/trees, just not this particular shot Wink.

Enjoy!

Doug

I keep coming back to this series. Nicely creative. Obviously letting your imagination off the leash. I love the colours in this one. The strong vertical lines of the grasses give an almost distressed look to the pic, suits the overall feel very well.
Keep it going.
Chris

P.S. Congrats on the E.C.

Funny thing, I wasn't even sure about the last two shots going over that well. Just goes to show you can get in your own way if you think too much!
