There are lots of these terns around the shores here (known as Tirricks here) - I always have a hood up when I go near the beaches lol; they really do come at you! I've just come back from 3 weeks away and they seem to have moved on now.

Great shot Smile

Surprising to get this with a fish-eye. Seems to work perfectly up this close. Your 'L' lens would have clipped his wings I suspect. TG

No lens is really wrong because you choose it for what you want to capture, same goes for your camera and whatever gear you may choose. We cannot control the movement of a bird, so next time maybe the other guy has the right gear for the job. It's as if i said: Wrong weather? We cannot control weather either, so why bother. Just look at what you achieved yourself, thus you won't need to mock others.

The tern seems just as shocked by your choice but it has made a striking image , made me smile . Viv

This is so rare....deserves extra points for great readiness and fast reflex. TG
