WRYNECK

WRYNECK ...... Rare summer visitor between may/sept...Part of the woodpecker family but does not excavate own hole in tree...Favourite food is Ants....
Drove down late afternoon and arrived at Dungeness lighthouse at 16: 10 " Pager message said showing well " really wanted to see this bird one of my fav's ....17:40 finally located it had some great views and could only manage a heavily cropped poor image ....Now better luck next time..!!
Then dinner in the Pub....

Went up to Minsmere, Suffolk on Saturday upload some images soon.....

Not such a poor image, but an incredible capture of a very rare bird. Well tracked and taken, in spite of poor light.

great capture,I think you and me are the only ones to on EPZ to capture this rare bird,nice one.
