Hello Claire and welcome to Ephotozine. This is such a great first upload, that expression is just so funny and full of character. If I was to be picky and in a perfect world, the whole dog would have been visible and the lines behind the head wouldn't be there, but it's a really nice black & white conversion and the focus is on the face where you would want it to be.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your welcome and for your critique. It was one of those "quick, take the shot" photos, but yeah I totally agree. I'll probably do some more adjustments to make it a better shot. Thanks.

If she was my dog though, this would still be printed, and probably be my computer screen saver Smile
You could crop to portrait format showing just the head and shoulders and removing the lines, that might work as a variant and would be fairly simple.
