Yellow Flower and Friends!

By DicksPics
This image was taken last Friday whilst on a walk by the Lac du Salagou, an irrigation reservoir in Southern France.
The area abounds with wildlife and beautiful wild flowers.
I have no idea what type of flowers it is - I would be grateful if someone could tell me!!
I thought the red spots were just part of the flower - until I loaded the image onto my computer!
I should have put my glasses on!!Smile
Many appreciative thanks for all views, votes and comments on my last upload!Smile
Have a great Sunday.

Welcome back Richard, hope you have had a good holiday! This flower is indeed part of the plant Cichorium Endivia or wild chicory as Carol above suggests. The leaves sometimes contain a blue tint and it is paradise for bugs and insects!! Smile

Not seen this plant before, the tiny spider mites add interest to what is already an excellent example of macro photography
