Yellow Roses II

By chase
More of my yellow Roses, they have now bit the dust Sad
Perhaps a little more conventional than the first.

Lit by daylight camera left.
Raw file converted in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop with one simple texture on the bg.

Thanks for dropping by.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.
Stay safe in these troubled times everyone.

Its only now I have tried to do something like this that I truly appreciate just how difficult still life composition can be. You are rather fab at this Janet - I doff my cap. Grin

Still life is a difficult subject, and this is a sterling example of it.

I'll second sherlob's observation of how difficult it is to set up a still life - we have to re-arrange things many times as they look different through the lens - we need a companion to move things as we look in the lens!
Another brilliant composition Janet.

Thanks all.
Messing with compositions, light and the post processing keeps me out of mischief and takes my mind off the current troubles....in a World all of my own !

Another very lovely still-life here, Janet 👍 As said above, it can be difficult producing a still-life - what to include, what to exclude and how to arrange it. With outdoor scenes everything's arranged for you, you just have to compose! 😃
Take care, stay well, and stay safe.

Not really,I chop and inch or so off the bottom of the stems and crush them about 2 inches up the stem, also I change the water every day, they are kept in the cool shade in my kitchen with a drop of sugar in the water. I must have bought a good batch !!
