Yorkshire Mist

By MrsS
OK! So I wanted to call this Scotch Mist, but it's not! Wink

However, the Scots and the Yorkies have the same reputation for "conserving" their hard-earned, so perhaps the title might work anyway!

I really liked the mist created from the force of the water and the way it frames the central rock. I hope you like it too Smile

1sec @f14 ISO 100 polariser

Been on my markers course all day - - dragged Paul away from the Golf Club to go out for a meal, off to get a glass of red now Smile

Thanks for stopping by on a Saturday Evening (or there abouts!) Have a gr8 evening Grin

Cheers!

Awesome shot Fran, looks amazing.

Its one of those photos that I'm not sure of scale....is this a small area or something much larger..........could almost imagine Frodo, Gandalf and co. stood on the nearest rock staring up at the unbreachable waterfall wondering how to escape the Nazgul Smile

The light, colour everything works wonderfully well..apart from the crack in the rock, it breaks up the serenity of the image for me and holds the attention a bit too long.

Looks good Fran, the mist effect works well and the wetness of the rocks is very well captured. The light picks it all out a treat.

Better late than never I suppose, just dropped by to say that this is full of atmosphere and I like your exposure. I think it's because you can see through the spray and that lovely dark green on the rocks.
