You can almost see.....

.... Wales!
This one framed itself through the railings on Blue Anchor sea front. Devil of a job to focus through the rails to get the boat though! I gave up on the Welsh coast - I think it is about 12 miles across the water from here.
I know it's not straight (I blame the flat tyre on the car - that's why I was sat there so long!) but thought it might amuse.

A fine shot. Of course it is straight-- its the railings that are curved.

Not your usual shot but it is good well framed up
You should have switched to manual focus

A bit different from you Bev, well focused and a fairly clear day to see so much of Wales. Love the sky in this one.
Is it my eyes or has the Bristol Channel gone a funny colour?!

Thank you very much all for your C's + C's, I'm so suprised that a quirky shot has actually got clicks! Well appreciated!
Mmm .... did go a funny colour didn't it Soom, I didn't expect anything but mud colour as it is always so filthy - it's only telly progs that get a blue sea here!
Thankyou again all

Nice composition but needs some slight colour correction - too much cyan in the sky and too much magenta in the sea ?
See my mod - although I've overdone the sky.

Thank you all again,
Andy thanks for the mod, the sea does look better - it is always a reddish mud here and I can never get it to look natural, how did you do it so I can have a bash myself?

I believe theoretically the best way of colour correcting is to use curves in Photoshop a bit complex but there are many tutorials out on the web explaining this. For a quick fix I prefer to use a SELECTIVE COLOUR adjustment layer and alter the balance of each colour individually I pulled out a lot of the magenta in the red and yellow to return the sea to it's natural colour. A really good website for simple but effective PS adjustments is there are some great video tutorials there. Check out the ESSENTIAL ADJUSTMENT LAYERS tutorial in the video tutorial section.

Thankyou Andy, I'll have a try!
