Hi all,

Tis is photographed by putting a soft box at the back. I printed the picture which is at the back of the glass and using a painted black glass for the reflection. The blue liquid is water mixed some food colouring.

This is very impressive, Mario, the background is inspired, and it works so well on the glass.

You have given this a lot of thought and have gone for perfect symmetry, but unfortunately the left side is wider than the right side. I have done a modification that corrects that, and I also brightened the image because I felt the whites needed a bit of work. I had to remove your frame and re-make one, so you might see a bit of difference there.

Otherwise, I like this a lot and would certainly have voted for it in the main photo gallery, and would have given it a User Award if it weren't for that left side.

Pamela.

PS: The large version shows the rest of your white frame because it's set against a black background, but the small version only has one white layer because it's set against a white background. It needed another dark line to separate it. I copied the frame in the large version.

I don't have anything to add to Pamela's comments. I, too, am really impressed by the thought and work you've put into it - and the result. Pamela's small tweak makes it perfect.

That's very good work Mario.
I've nothing to add to Pamela's comment either.

Hi Mario.
Very creative work, bravo.
I see there is some residue of liquid on the internal walls of the glass. My guess is that it may have been done during the pouring of the liquid into the glass. If you want to avoid this in the future you could use a (food) syringe to fill the glass. I am surprised that the liquid is not levelled but this might be part of the quirkiness of your lovely picture.

That's a useful tip, Pablo! One of those things that is obvious once you know it, but most people wouldn't think of it.
