Young female Tiger Ranthambhore

By alansnap
I've been away in India, hence no posts for a few weeks. This was taken last weekend at Ranthambhore. This is one of a unique group of three tigers. About a year ago this young female and her sister were orphaned at about 3 months. Surprisingly and successfully they were adopted by an adult male which has brought them up since then. Only this tiger showed herself in the open and I got some shots of her. I also got some of Machali (pronounced "muchly") the old female seen in so many BBC films. AN unforgettable two hours.
