Beautiful closeup of blackberries. I agree with your choice V1 has good impact and bright colours.
Also the best background adding to this.
Well done. WesternRed.

V1 for me - it is simple and understated, the vibrant mix of colours of the berries is off set by the green of the background.

I like all 3 Herman. I am a huge fan of berries, I eat all I can year round. We live 4000 miles from our birthplace on the East Coast of Canada, and the berries out here are very scarce. We have our favorites shipped out by FedEx whenever the season is for them back home. My wife's family picks them for us; blueberries, partridge berries/lingon berries (my fav), bakeapples/cloud berries, cranberries, and some raspberries. The rest we buy frozen.Grin

Denny

My mouth is watering just looking at these, Herman. We have a delicious giant 'Fantasia' blackberry on my allotment which produces a few kilos each year.

they look delicious - all of them. the one showing both fruit and flowers is my favourite.

December you said.... so they ripen very early in the season.. unlike our blackberries which are an autumn treat!
There was an old guy in Vlaams Limburg, he made a delicious blackberry wine called 'rebel's blood' - rebellenbloed. When I was celebrating my 18th birthday, I found out that the girls had put their money together and bought three bottles for my birthday. Needless to say it was quite memorable, even more so the next morning Smile

All nice Shots Herman, If it was not for the small piece of berry top centre V3 would have been my Pick. If you get some spare, make some Berry Vinegar, Great for
Colds and delightful on Yorkshire Puddings, as any Gypsy would tell you. Eric.

I like V1 because of its simplicity and the way each berry has a different colour, but I do agree with most, and that is that V3 has a bit more to offer in the way of completion, from flower through to black berry. However, I would try a square crop, eliminating the berry on the right, filling the frame with flowers and berries.

V1 stands out from the the three because of it's clarity and
the four berries at different stages of ripening.
